Father Zarsky served the Holy Ghost Ukrainian church in Sydney, NS from 1940 to 1971. For this, and his dedication to the parish, he is fondly remembered. Zarsky’s studies in Lviv (a major city in present-day Ukraine), 1939; 4 – Fr. Zarsky’s certificate of Canadian citizenship;
Two sections from the Ukrainian Canadian Illustrated calander the first section is an article entitled "On the Atlantic Ocean (Sydney, N.S)" This article gives a short history Ukrainian immigration to Sydney, jobs and what Ukrainians do in Sydney and which company they work for. This article is about the makeup of the Ukrainian community in Sydney, Nova Scotia and Cape Breton. The second is an article entitled "Employment Office" which gives locations and advice on where to look for work, also for the Ukrainians who only know Ukrainian there is an Employment Centre in Winnipeg that they may write to.
