Here is an update from Tom Urbaniak of the Polish community about the church being rebuilt after the fire:

On April 28th and 29th, the annual Nova Scotia Heritage Fairs program was held at Cape Breton University. Students from grades 4 to 9 explored and provided cultural explanations about their own distinct heritages. His Honour Brigadier-General, The Honourable J.J. Grant, CMM, ONS, CD (Ret'd), Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, visited the Fair and provided remarks at the opening ceremony.

There will be a fundraiser Polish Supper on May 1, on Sunday to celebrate the Polish Constitution and the feast day of Mary, which will support the rebuilding of St. Mary's Polish Church. Tickets are limited.
